Overview
For Three Pianos: An Evening With Something Corporate, Jack’s Mannequin, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, JRLX partnered with Lighting Designer Austin Woolfolk to deliver a custom touring lighting system centered around five illuminated performance cubes that transformed the stage into a dynamic architectural environment. Each cube served as both a scenic element and lighting position, creating depth, symmetry, and immersive visual moments throughout the show. The touring rig featured Robe Forte, Elation SOL 1 Blinders, GLP X4 Bar 20s, Chauvet Nexus 4×4 panels, Robe Patt 2017 fixtures, and Martin Sceptron 1000mm LED battens, all controlled from a GrandMA3 Full console. The result seamlessly balanced intimate storytelling with high-impact concert visuals while remaining efficient to deploy from venue to venue.
For the Chicago stop, JRLX expanded the production with additional Robe Forte, Robe Spiider, GLP JDC1 fixtures, and ViCount 5000’s Hazers, along with the overhead rigging package.
