Overview
JRLX, Inc. worked with Pastor Dave Schlagel and the team at Marquette Manor Baptist Church to deliver a transformative lighting upgrade that balanced modern capability with the church’s classic architecture.
The project featured an ETC DrD power controls and Paradigm Architectural Control System, ETC ColorSource Spot Jr.s and ColorSource PARs, and Canto Retro 600 house light retrofits to improve efficiency and performance. To preserve the beauty of the traditional wood ceiling, JRLX developed custom glare-control top hats for ColorSource PARs with high-angle cutoff and integrated with asymmetrical diffusion for an architecturally sensitive solution. The result is a system that maintains the sanctuary’s timeless aesthetic while providing color-changing creative flexibility, improved backlight, precise area isolation, and massively enhanced overall illumination—empowering both worship and special events with modern excellence.
