In March 2021, during one of the most challenging periods for live events, JRLX partnered with Cruise Thru Events in Atlantic City to help deliver an innovative COVID-era drive-through experience staged inside a large multi-level parking garage, transforming an otherwise utilitarian structure into an immersive entertainment environment while maintaining strict social distancing protocols. Designed as a fully drive-through audience experience, the production required a high-impact lighting system capable of shaping multiple interior zones, sightlines, and transitions as vehicles moved through the structure. JRLX supplied a robust package including Chauvet H12 IP PARs, GLP JDC1 strobes, Chauvet Rogue R2 Wash fixtures, Elation Dartz 360 moving heads, Martin MAC Quantum Profiles, Robe MegaPointes, and GrandMA2 Light consoles to drive the visual design. Logistics and deployment were supported with two semis dedicated to transport, ensuring efficient delivery and load-in within the constrained garage environment, and JRLX also provided two on-site crew members to oversee setup, system optimization, and real-time technical support throughout the run of the event. The combination of weather-resistant fixtures, high-output effects, and versatile beam and wash inventory allowed the space to be fully reimagined, delivering a dynamic, immersive journey for attendees. By combining large-scale logistics, technical expertise, and adaptable production design, JRLX helped redefine what live entertainment could look like during the pandemic era, proving that even restrictive environments could be transformed into compelling audience experiences.
