Deafheaven, The Poisonous Weapons Tour

Overview

For Deafheaven’s run as direct support for Mastodon on The Poisonous Weapons Tour, Lighting Designer Bastien Henrion worked with JRLX to create a compact, entirely floor-based lighting system designed for fast deployment while still delivering a strong visual identity. The package was built around four custom JRLX small touring carts, each carrying pairs of Elation Dartz, creating vertical layers of beam effects behind the band. GLP JDC1s and Chauvet STRIKE 2s added high-impact strobe and audience effects, while Chauvet COLORdash PAR H12s provided additional color and stage coverage. The self-contained cart design allowed the lighting package to roll on and off efficiently within the larger Mastodon production while maintaining a consistent setup from venue to venue. JRLX also supplied the touring control package, centered around an MA Lighting grandMA2 Light, with atmosphere provided by a ViCount 5000 touring hazer.
