Billed as being “Housed in a 100-year-old former auto body shop, the Chop Shop is Chicago’s only sustainable butcher + deli + restaurant + bar with a 6,000 square foot event space and concert venue.” Chop Shop Chicago is truly a unique and locally revered venue. In 2020 Chop Shop commissioned JRLX to provide and install a major lighting upgrade for their convert venue and event space.
The space will host national concert tours, local artists, and private events so the rig must be practical and flexible. JRLX installed a fully automated lighting package consisting of Chauvet Professional R2X Wash, Maverick MK1 Spots, Shocker 2 Blinders, ADJ Saber Spot RGBW and yes…a new, larger mirror ball. All controlled by an upgrades MA2 Command / Fader Wing system, the new rig will allow for enhanced creative control and unparalleled venue adaptability.
