Overview

For the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Annual Convention & Expo, Lighting Designer Michael Shipman created a polished, broadcast-ready lighting environment designed to support the event’s general sessions, executive presentations, and featured entertainment. JRLX supplied the lighting and control package, anchored by Martin MAC Ultra Performance fixtures for precise key, texture, and aerial work, with Martin MAC Quantum Washes providing broad, saturated stage coverage. ACME Pulsar S2s added a contemporary visual layer and dynamic effects across the stage architecture, while control was handled through an MA Lighting grandMA3 Light. The system was designed to transition seamlessly between the convention’s varied programming, including an opening session featuring President George W. Bush and a featured appearance by comedian Jerry Seinfeld, balancing the requirements of a large-scale corporate production with the flexibility and visual impact of a live entertainment environment.
